Trace Escape – Privacy Policy
Trace Escape ("the game") is made by Bayland Blue. This policy explains what information the game uses, who receives it, and the choices you have.
The short version
- The game has no accounts and asks for no personal information.
- Your progress, booster charges and settings are stored only on your device.
- Bayland Blue does not collect, receive or sell your data.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device information to show and measure those ads, as described below.
- An optional one-time Remove Ads purchase is handled entirely by Google Play.
Information stored on your device
The game saves your board results (fuses left and best times), daily build streak, Free Play counts, booster charges, which component introductions you've seen, your settings, the play time used to space out ads between boards, and whether you bought Remove Ads, in a file on your device. This file is not sent to Bayland Blue or anyone else. Uninstalling the game deletes it, and Config → Reset progress clears your progress.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows a banner ad at the bottom of the screen, an occasional full-screen ad between boards, and optional ads you can choose to watch to get back a booster charge. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as:
- your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers;
- device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version);
- approximate location derived from your IP address;
- interactions with ads (for example, views and taps) and diagnostic information.
Bayland Blue does not receive this information in a form that identifies you; we see only summary reports such as how many ads were shown. Google's use of this information is governed by Google's own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Purchases (Google Play)
The game offers one optional purchase, Remove Ads, which turns off the banner and the ads between boards for good and makes boosters recharge faster. The purchase is made through Google Play: Google handles your payment details, and Bayland Blue never sees them. Google Play tells the game only whether you own Remove Ads, so it can apply it and restore it if you reinstall. Google's handling of your purchase is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service. Refunds are handled by Google Play.
Your choices about ads
- Consent: where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and some US states), the game shows Google's consent form before ads load. You can change your choice at any time with Config → Privacy options.
- Personalized ads: on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, under your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact menu varies by device).
- Optional ads: ads that give back a booster charge only play when you choose to watch one. Booster charges also come back on their own over time.
Children
The game is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed to children under 13. Bayland Blue does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help.
Your rights
Because Bayland Blue does not hold personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Data collected by Google for advertising can be managed through the choices above and through your Google account and device settings. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you may have additional rights, which you can exercise with Google for advertising data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
